People know that social media isn't good for their kids and yet everyone lets their kids be on social media.

That's just one of a million things people don't "recognize." I can get on board with the statement that Trump is dangerous, but I don't think "duped" is the word I'd choose. If pushed, I'd say "afraid" hits nearer the mark. And people do not make good choices when they are afraid.

They're also not good at recognizing hypocrites. I refer you to one of the most universally popular people of our era, Oprah Winfrey, selling other people Weight Watchers while simultaneously taking weight loss drugs.
