Please know that I wish you the very best of luck with this entire process and experience. It's going to be coming for everyone--my mom sometimes complains about getting too old, but then I point out she also didn't want to die young--and there you are.
I should have known that caring for someone's body in particular would be a challenge--I knew I could never work in healthcare because I am just not happy handling other peoples' bodies. I have the utmost respect for all caregivers--paid and otherwise--because I think for some people it comes naturally, but a lot of others are just struggling through. Raising babies and kids is rather hands on too, but I loved that. It is just not the same as caregiving for an elderly person and their adult body.
