I most certainly have heard about nuclear energy, it's a field with a lot of whistleblowers in it because, not only is nuclear energy tricky, companies are always trying to maximize profits when building or selling it, at the expense of safety. ugh.

I am absolutely a naysayer, but it does not follow that I am unhappy. I'm supremely lucky in that I can still afford health insurance, but other than that we're not wealthy and I know an extremely high quality of life can be had even while trying to not go overboard on consumption. But it's definitely a choice, and the more you live around rich people, the more they make you feel stupid for not following their choices. It's frustrating.
