I'm from the Midwest so I'm kind of allergic to gushing words like "great." Whether we're trying to atone or not (and are we? the divisive calling each other names doesn't seem like we've learned much from our racist or sexist or xenophobic or anything history), I don't know that America's ever been great. A valid experiment, yes, a very good attempt. But I'd always like to put more emphasis on how hard we try over any bs about "greatness."

But I'm at least this American: I will always support your right to write your opinion!! Happy Fourth.
