I totally had no understanding of what dementia would look like. Unfortunately a whole lot of us are about to get a crash course as our parents (and we ourselves) age.

Actually the more stories people share with me the more lucky I realize I am. I am so sad for how many people are living with no family and not enough resources, and I am also sad for how little most caregivers are making. It's sad on all sides of this equation.

And oh--your grandmother story--oh my. I can just picture your mom and her sisters trying to figure that one out.
