I'll admit I get bitter about some things but I try not to hate on people for who they are as much as what they do. :) Cheapness as a trait is one I really despise, because I think the world needs us all to be more generous than we want to be, even, and cheapness is the direct opposite of generosity.

I take your point but you don't have to depend the super wealthy or those with money who don't feel they need to share. They don't really care what you, I, or anyone think, and they are so protected by their wealth, often, that there's really nothing for them to defend themselves against.

I hope whenever the aliens come they are frirendly and they take you along, if that's what you would like! :)
