Yes, a part of this is that I also don't have the mental bandwith that constant tracking seems to require. I'm a little jealous of my parents and their more "hands off" parenting style.

I'm glad none of the people you know went off the rails, tracked or untracked! I wasn't worried so much about that--I just tend to think this "everyone knows where I am at all times" leads to a false and dangerous sense of security.
