I don't even know that I'm going for open-minded. It's just that I feel we've tried this path of insulting the shit out of each other and I'm TIRED of this path because it's clearly not working. For anyone. I think I'm operating from the belief that before you can address a problem, you "have to admit you have a problem."

I come from a family of many kids and we took a lot of shit for that forty years ago. I know of what you speak. I wish you the best of luck and hope your kids get along with one another--speaking personally, my siblings have been a gift to me. Even if there were fewer resources on the ground for each of us individually, each sibling I have has enriched my life. I hope your kids feel that way someday too.
