Thank you for reading!
And thank you for doing this work. I know it is lonely and often unpaid and very, very difficult.
In addition to dementia, my mother has macular degeneration, and between the two of those things, she seemingly cannot sit quietly for even a moment. Towards the end when we were helping her at home, we literally spent most of our time just following her around her house because she had tantrums when we tried to put rugs down over her hard tile (and we didn't want her to fall) and all she would do for hours was walk around and try to do her housework, even though she couldn't remember how to do tasks or see anything. It was horrifying and led me to write letters to both my boys that I do not expect them to care for me.
I wish you the best of luck.
