Thank you for reading and for commenting and let me just say that my shortish stint as a caregiver has left me with nothing but respect for EVERY SINGLE DAY you did it.
We are already at the point with unpaid caregivers like we are at the point with not enough people to care for kids in daycares. It is very hard to give your unpaid time when you're busy trying to make your own living, your spouse has ideas about how you spend your time, your kids have needs/expectations because increasingly the schools are also an unfair game of "they who are tutored and pushed excel, everyone else loses," increasingly even we as younger people have more serious health problems due to less physical lifestyles, fewer nutrients in food, microplastics gathering everywhere (you can't tell me that doesn't have an effect on health). This is one scary-ass hamster wheel a lot of people seem to be on.
