Thank you so much sharing this with me and everyone here. So many people are dealing with so many things, I think we all tend to get in our own little "silos" of problems, so we don't look around and notice everyone else struggling.

I know people with children on the spectrum and with various other health conditions that are very time-consuming to manage. Even when it goes well it takes time, And yes, I really feel (like I think you do) that our first responsibility is to our children, both to help them now and to have help available for them later.

I think you have done what you can for your mother and there is only so much you can do with your sibling. Siblings often have very different ideas of what is a "need" and what is a "want"--and it's very hard for anyone to agree on what is truly "fair" for everyone.

I feel for your husband and his family as well. I think you said a world when you put together the three words "very emotionally trying."

I wish you all the luck in the world with your children, with enjoying some time with your spouse (which you also deserve) and balancing all the rest.
