"The Big Sort" is a really fascinating concept and explains a lot about our entire culture. I read a great piece by Rebecca Romanelli the other day, where she said people really need to feel "seen" to feel understood, and that is a large part of our problem. We just don't "see" people who aren't exactly like us anymore.
