I didn't really mean this post to be about me. Mainly I thought Medium was kind of a neat product, a nice mix of fast dirty publishing but also SOME pubs where I could be more assured editors were shaping things a bit. If they're going to take away all of the shaping, well, hell, I can even save the five bucks a month. I really should be putting that toward excellent journalists and writers like Brian Alexander and Stacy Horn and Rose George and a ton of others anyway.
