Gen X may have been forgotten, but a lot of days I thank God I made it through grade and high school without social media. What a nightmare.

Advanced technology absolutely can be a plus--I have a family member who needs all the heart health advances medicine has made in the last fifty years--but it also should be questioned. When some of it is created by a person (cough Zuckerberg) who stole people's photos for his first product (and wanted to rank them for attractiveness and as compared to animals--classy--https://www.metro.us/everything-to-know-about-facemash-the-site-zuckerberg-created-in-college-to-rank-hot-women/) and whose motto is "move fast and break things," well, I can't help but feel that's not the right place from which to move forward.
