I totally agree with you that I want the schools to do something different. They are the ones who gave my kid a chromebook--not me--so now my whole life is yelling at my kid to get off the games on his school-issued chromebook (whilst Google collects all his personal information off of it). Likewise, he's had some problems with people showing him dodgy videos in school on YouTube--and when you ask about that, the answer is basically that the school can't block YouTube because so many teachers are using it to teach.

Sigh.
