I agree with everything you've said here although nobody, by any stretch of the imagination, could ever say that I look "pulled together." :) I'm mostly a slob who can't be bothered to buy or put on make-up and who has never noticed what anyone else is wearing and therefore doesn't know what to wear myself. And it shows!

I too love simpler. I also hate this idea that everything gets better the more money you spend on it. That is certainly not the way it is turning out with our very expensive american education and health care systems, which are not ranked well worldwide.
