I am just grouchy about PSILY because I actually did think Medium had struck some kind of middle ground--a place for people to publish anything, but also a place with some publications that had some tighter editorial guidelines and wider readership. It seems that tech indeed always does have to go big one way or the other. Nuance is not its strength.
