That's the thing, either I'm not going to be able to figure out how to track them because I hate tech and have no idea what's already on my phone, or they're going to figure out how to keep me from surveilling them constantly!

Right now I am trying to instill the habit of good communication. We make a plan, we go over the plan, if the plan changes, he tells me. As he gets his own phone, I will hope to continue those habits. I don't want to watch him every minute--I just want him to check in and tell me the plan.

I agree there won't be much I'll be able to do from home. And I don't want them to NOT think about situations they're heading in to--because they're thinking "Mom will always know where I am." There will have to come a time when that won't be the case, and they need to be ready for it.

Thanks for the comment!
