The (seemingly endless) stage where people know it's going off the rails but they can't save it--so heartbreaking. Even the other day Mom said to me, "I can't remember how to DO anything." So she knows it, and is frustrated.

I wish you the best of luck with your dad and with you! Watching this in others always makes any appearance of your own symptoms seem all the more frightening. I totally get that.
