There's definitely ways to make it work, particularly depending on how much care is needed. I wish I could help my mom more but I also feel a responsibility to my spouse and to my children, making it impossible to stay with or care for my mom 24/7.

But I also understand when people feel they can't offer help to their parents. I really do.
