I will have to do some research, but in general I think men care more about their privacy rights. Maybe women are more used to thinking everyone else has a claim on their time and therefore they don't get as used to having as much freedom of movement or privacy about it.

My spouse and I are both privacy nuts. He has no idea how to get onto my computer or phone and vice versa. I think it would be the end of our marriage if either of us asked for access to the other's texts or locations at all times.
