This is such a beautiful and kind piece.
I too have had more transvaginal sonograms than I've wanted, and had problems, although I've been lucky enough to become pregnant. It was a long journey but I have kids and if that is what you want, I very sincerely hope it happens for you soon.
I just wanted to tell you you weren't alone in thinking about this, or writing about it, or crying about it, or being frustrated with nurses, np's, and doctors who could really do a better job in how they speak with patients. I know they're under pressure too, but come on.
I would also highly recommend all women look at Toni Weschler's book "Taking Charge Of Your Fertility." I gave it to my sister in law, and she said WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST GIVE US THIS BOOK IN HIGH SCHOOL?!?!?
