We are all in denial about how many people want to work as home care aides, CNAs, or really in any kind of helping profession. This semester alone I've met (other parents at school) two highly paid RNs who are getting out of the job because they can't stand it anymore.

Thank you for understanding this problem. It has been making me crazy trying to explain this to people. EVERYONE is just like, "Oh, couldn't you just hire someone to sit with your mom a few hours a day?" Nope. And it takes more than one person, by the way, there's 24 hours in 7 days a week, it's a shocking amount of hours.
