We do that for ourselves, my spouse and I don't care what we wear. And my kids mostly don't care--but the t-shirts they get for free also never fit quite right and just aren't their favorites. I'd much rather have the option to say "Look, I'll pay the same fee, I just don't want the t-shirt."
