We homeschooled last year so hardly wore masks (we did if we went anywhere, which, there really wasn't anywhere to go, and that was fine) so I thought my kids would find it kind of a drag to go back to school this year and wear masks for 7 hours a day. When I wear my mask for longer than an hour I get kind of a dry throat, so thought they might be annoyed by that.
Neither one made a peep. They put their masks on without me telling them, they wear them all day, and they haven't complained once. And my kids are complainers ("a mosquito bite! I'm gonna DIEEEEEEE!!!!"). I mean, not even once. They are just happy to be back in gym class. Which I also don't understand but that's a subject for another day. :)
Wish all adults were so matter-of-fact about it.
Good for Sophie and good for you.
