We might be quibbling a bit over vocabulary.

To me nothing is more nurturing than teaching somebody something, regardless of how it is done. I don't mean fawning all over the children or any broadly sentimental type of nurturing--I mean looking at a person who you are trying to teach and finding the best way to teach them.

I do think even well-adjusted children deserve to be considered and taught as individuals.
