Well, arguably any industry that has as many consultants floating around as manufacturing seems to, must still be doing okay.
I am glad to hear manufacturing is not dead. Do you advise companies to pay every worker, from assembly line on up, living wages? Do you further advise companies to either offer training to potential employees (which i would think would help with finding/making qualified people) or to work with school districts on viable vocational and paid internship programs? That would make me very happy if you and the industry would do those things.
