Well, I do like vaccines and refrigeration. And, as earlier noted, indoor plumbing and antibiotics.
The medical advances of the 20th century and beyond have benefited me, no doubt. I'm glad they have benefited you too.
What I am sorry about is that in all this human progress, we can't figure out how to deploy these wonders and others a bit more equitably. A lot of these medical advances don't even help people who aren't employed in the right jobs and don't have the right health insurance. Hence the findings that your life expectancy varies greatly by your zip code, even within the same state.
