Well, sometimes we have to educate brothers and husbands. :)

I agree there is room for compromise on both sides here. This is the first time I really tried to explain to my spouse, woops, I really wasn't trying to talk over you, I was trying to encourage you to say more...which blew his mind. Now I'm not expecting him to come my way and become an overlapper himself, but I do think if I work a little harder to not interrupt, and he works a little harder to realize that even if I do backslide and interrupt sometimes, it's not usually because I'm trying to cut him off.
