Well, that's what everyone says, but really it plays into all of women's worst and most stereotyped desires: to have a man solve all their problems, to have a man give them tons of money (and a job as a fiction editor at a top publisher!), to have a man tell them they're too skinny and should eat more, and to be able to "change" a damaged man with issues into a monogamous lover who never wants kids except for when woops, you're pregnant, and then he also becomes the best dad ever.

Sigh. It's not romance, or bondage, it's pure, pure fantasy.
