To be clear, I think Grandpa was referring more to the corporations milking the government (McDonnell Douglas, Dow Chemical, and Goldman Sachs come to mind) than individuals getting SNAP cards. I agree with him totally on that.

I am glad people like you are part of rural-urban bridge initiatives. I'll never be entirely comfortable in the suburb/city, but I am never moving back to the country. I'd have to bridge that divide in myself before I could help anyone else! :)
