Did you notice how in the rest of the comments we seem to be having a good conversation where we're all learning something and people are largely refraining from being as...um...strident as you are being?

There are a variety of very valid reasons why I do not trust science types, or anyone really. And I am not alone in that. My larger point is that we shouldn't have needed the science--we should never have lost so much track of the fact that we live on a finite earth with a finite set of resources and climate circumstances. I know that without ever reading ONE piece of science.
