You are right on many points.

I know that writing these types of articles inevitably leads to this response. I understand it, but I still do not believe in assisted dying. I think it has the potential to be horribly misused (https://www.theguardian.com/world/2022/may/11/canada-cases-right-to-die-laws). It scares me like the idea of abuse scares me. So many things scare me.
