You are very smart to notice this. I grew up on a farm and now live in the city, so I have a foot in both worlds. Rich people are making it impossible to live in the city and increasingly impossible to live in the rural area around us. Anybody who actually wants to be a small or organic farmer can’t afford land anywhere within three to four hours of even a small city.
