You know I'm down with taxing the wealthy and I'm not opposed to UBI as a start, but I think what we're all really missing is work, meaningful work that we can use for ourselves and for others and for a living wage.
I can't help but feel we are automating too many jobs that once gave people purpose. I am thrilled when I can write a clear sentence and I used to be thrilled when I could quickly and concisely and correctly answer a question as a librarian. Anyone graduating from library school these days has few job prospects; "everything's on the Internet." Yeah right.
