You make a lot of interesting points here.
I couldn't agree more about business management consultants. I just read an article about business consultants making six-digit salaries right out of school, and all I could think was, what could these 22-year-olds possibly know about business to consult on that would be worth that kind of coin? I don't get it and never have.
Also agreed that the heavily text-based professions like law are under threat too.
We're going to have to find some kind of value and purpose other than "what do you do?" and I don't see anyone who is really ready to face that change yet. In my suburb people are still invested in status, which is absolutely the least helpful way to determine what humans are actually for.
