You raise an important point.

My parents gave us a huge gift in trying to make their trust/estate as simple as possible, and making sure there would be resources for their care. But you are right. That's a huge part of any caregiving picture. Even when it's in place, there's still lots of questions left...so absolutely people should try and make the financial points as clear as possible as a starting point.
